The spring flowers and trees are finally showing their true colors and the warmer temperatures are a welcome change. Today looks to be a great day to enjoy being outside and doing the things that need done in the spring.
All this past week the Operation UP efforts of the Huntington Beautification Committee have been in full swing. Today from 2 – 4 PM there is a Clean-up Bash along the Riverbank — meeting in the old Marsh parking lot on South Jefferson Street. Bring gloves — at 4 PM there will be a short celebration for all workers. Come be part of the celebration of volunteer spirit!
This evening many of the candidates for mayor, city council and city clerk-treasurer will be at the Meet and Greet hosted by the Huntington TEA Party at Crestview Middle School. The event begins at 7 PM and is scheduled to have brief spoken presentations by the mayoral candidates followed by an opportunity to visit personally with all the candidates. Here is a great last minute chance to get to know the candidates who have stepped forward to offer their leadership for the good of Huntington. I look forward to seeing you there.
Let’s Move Huntington Forward!
