The cranes are gone.  Construction is nearly complete.  Cleanup is coming.  Logos are being painted!

For over thirty years citizens of Huntington have been wanting multi-use trails along the Little River and the old Erie railbed.  This bridge will connect the two trails at the river and celebrates the great Railway history of Huntington.  Groundbreaking for section four of the Little River Trail will happen in late Maybor early June.  That section will connect the bridge with the section of trail that goes from Lafontaine Street to Elmwood Park.

At the south end of the Lafontaine Street Bridge will be the home of the much anticipated Drovertown Canoe Launch.  These features will allow everyone to enjoy access to the beauty of the Little River as is winds through Huntington.

A ribbon cutting is set for Sunday, April 26 at 3:00 pm on the south approach to the bridge off Riverside Drive.  Everyone is invited!
