The third annual Make it Shine week is in the books. Things are looking good all around Huntington.
Special thanks to Allison Timbrook, City of Huntington Community Engagement Coordinator and Park Program Director, for lining up great events, practical projects and willing volunteers.
Today was a big day with the Slack Park Playground Community Build with over thirty neighbors and friends showing up to show some love for Huntington.
Out riding my bike in the PAL opening day parade today along Riverside Drive, I came across a group of volunteers from Bethel United Methodist Church cleaning up around their church. On my way back home about an hour or so later they had moved on down the street to help one of their neighbors spring clean her yard!
Helping someone who needs help – That’s called being a neighbor. Be a good one!
For the love of Huntington!
